Anthony Ben-kmael – Managing Director
With over 30 years of experience in the Security Industry, My role as Managing Director means I work closely with all managers and teams to develop skills across all sectors, while focusing on the growth of the company and maintaining ABK’s connection to the wider security industry, I am dedicated to providing a company which specialises in developing customer solutions that meet even the most diverse requirements.
My extensive connections within the security world, as well as in policing and counter-terrorism, enable us to deliver exceptional service to our customers in the region. We pride ourselves in managing our small & major accounts, which are among the most prestigious, but, offer complex and demanding specific needs.
As a business we are glad we can support the community and promote the industry in a positive light, my personal passion for giving back to the community is reflected in our sponsorship of football clubs across the country.
Our structure provides the backbone for our customer support, connecting customers, sites, and colleagues to ensure consistent, excellent service. I focus on creating a business which forms long term mutual partnerships across our portfolio, encouraging and sharing best practices that benefit everybody.
Joanna Ben-Kmael – Internal Verifier and Support Manager
Joanna is an experienced Compliance professional. With a background as a Vocational Qualification Assessor at Reading University/College, Joanna managed a portfolio of students and successfully guided the first group of apprentices through their programmes.
For the past 11 years, Joanna has been a vital part of the ABK Security team, passionately supporting various aspects of the business. Whilst with the business Joanna’s dedication to professional growth led to the completion of an internal verifying course. Her role includes planning, organising, quality assurance, monitoring and reviewing processes and practices, developing individuals, and achieving company goals.
Joanna loves working with the team and is committed to ensuring the highest standards in all areas of the business.
Mike Newton – Operations Manager
Mike has over 20 years of experience in the security industry, with expertise in static security, mobile patrols, dog handling, and control room operations. He has been with ABK for six years, and has held his current role for the past four years. Mike came to ABK after a career served in HM Forces and HM Prison Services.
Julie Mills – HR Manager
Julie Mills has been the HR Manager at ABK since November 2016. She has been working in the security industry since 2007. Julie is responsible for all personnel management, including the screening and vetting of our security team.
Karen Jones – Accounts Manager
Karen has over 25 years of experience in the security sector. Joining ABK in 2019 Initially as an Office Manager, over the years the role has evolved and now Karen’s primary focus is now on all aspects of accounts. This includes day-to-day financial management, invoicing, and general financial administration to ensure smooth business operations.
Karen’s long-standing experience in both operational and administrative roles allows for contribution to the company across multiple departments, supporting both internal teams and client relationships.
Lee Thomas – Compliance Manager
Lee has 25 years experience in the Security Industry, working ‘on the front line’ and in a number of Managerial positions. As a Qualified Trainer Lee spent many years delivering SIA Licence Training and various Health & Safety courses.
Lee has been in his present role with ABK Security Services Limited since 2014, concentrating on Compliance, Document Control and Health & Safety.
Lee’s wealth of knowledge and experience has made him a valuable member of the team who is able to offer support and advice to all the Team, on a variety of subjects.
